Vintage Baseball Glove/Mitt: (circa 1960) USA made Wilson 573CL "Ball Hawk" measures 9"x 9" (an 11" pattern) and is endorsed by Hall-of-Famer Al Kaline, 1953 - '74 (facsimile signature on pinky). Pocket is imprinted with picture of leaping fielder. The photos pretty much describe the glove’s condition and features. As for what you can’t see or might not notice: Well-padded thumb, heel, and pinky; fingers lightly padded; little, if any, padding in pocket. Leather feels soft, smooth, and almost "floppy-flexible". No holes, rips, or tears inside or out; shows normal wear. Leather lining chaffed and checked in heel area yet comfortably intact. Heel and lower pocket lacing original; fingers, web, and upper pocket have been relaced. Leather piping in good/very good condition; stitching and seams also. A previous owner printed his name on wrist strap (faint but visible). Some silver still remains in stampings. Well-built, late 50's/early 60's glove displays well, feels good to wear, and is enjoyable to use. Has been cleaned and conditioned.
