Vintage Baseball Glove/Mitt: (circa 1960) USA made J.C. Higgins 1620 (Sears, Roebuck and Co.) 6 finger measures 8½"x 8½" and is endorsed by Bob Buhl, 1953 -'67 (facsimile signature on pinky). The photos pretty much describe the glove’s condition and features. As for what you can’t see or might not notice: Pocket is imprinted with picture of fielder ready to receive. Well-padded thumb, heel, and pinky; fingers lightly padded; little, if any, padding in pocket. Leather feels relatively soft, smooth, and firm yet flexible. No holes, rips, or tears inside or out; shows minimal wear; pocket darkened from oilings. Leather lining chaffed and checked yet feels soft and smooth - comfortable. Most lacing original; web has been relaced. Rolled leather piping in very good/excellent condition; stitching and seams also. Somewhat worn yet easy-to-read stampings. No previous owner’s markings anywhere. Well-built late 50's/early 60's six finger displays well, feels comfortable to wear, and is enjoyable to use. Has been cleaned and conditioned.
