Vintage Baseball Glove/Mitt: (circa 1982) Wilson A2245 "Cy Young Award Winner" model with split hinge web is a 12" pattern endorsed by recently elected Hall-of-Famer Bruce Sutter, 1976 - '88 (facsimile signature in pocket). Sutter’s endorsement is listed as "Rare" in the Bushing/Phillips Glove Price Guide. The photos pretty much describe the glove’s condition and features. As for what you can’t see or might not notice: Uniformly padded "Select American Cowhide" feels "newish" - has not been broken-in. No holes, rips, or tears inside or out; shows no signs of use (probably hasn’t caught a ball). Soft, cloth-like leather lining, rolled canvas piping, stitching, seams, original lacing, thumb and finger loop straps, padded wrist strap, Wilson patches, stampings, etc. - all in excellent/new condition. No previous owner’s markings anywhere. "Minty" 80's glove is a pleasure to wear (needs to be broken-in if intended for competition); also, displays well as a commemorative "rarity". Versatility of a 12" pattern is suitable for almost any position - large enough to use for softball as well as baseball. Has been cleaned and conditioned.
