Rawlings Johnny Pesky Button-Back 1950's
(NO LONGER AVAILABLE)
Vintage Baseball Glove/Mitt: (1950's) Rawlings G250 “Professional” model button-back with floating heel measures 8½"x 9½" and is endorsed by John Pesky, 1942 - '54 (facsimile signature on side of pocket). The photos pretty much describe the glove’s condition and features. As for what you can’t see or might not notice: Well-padded thumb, heel, and pinky; fingers and pocket lightly padded. Leather feels soft, smooth and firm - somewhat “newish” (not fully broken-in). No holes, rips, or tears inside or out; overall soiling and chaffing; surprisingly little scuffing. Canvas lining smooth and comfortable. Entire glove has been relaced. Canvas piping shows wear but is all there. Seams in very good condition. No previous owner’s markings anywhere. Brass button with “Rawlings”engraved in red shows no tarnish. Deep, easy-to-read stampings. Nice 50's Pesky glove displays well and feels good to wear. Has been cleaned and conditioned.
