Vintage Baseball Glove/Mitt: (circa 1950) M/W Sporting Goods 4215 button-back 3 finger measures 8"x 9" and is endorsed by Hall-of-Famer Ralph Kiner, 1946 - '55 (facsimile signature on side of heel). The photos pretty much describe the glove’s condition and features. As for what you can’t see or might not notice: Well-padded thumb, heel, and pinky; fingers lightly padded; no padding in pocket. "Genuine Cowhide" feels uncommonly soft, smooth, and floppy-flexible - very easy to manipulate. No holes, rips, or tears inside or out; shows normal wear and overall creasing. Leather lining exceptionally soft and smooth - comfortable. Finger and web lacing appear to be original. Canvas piping in good condition (Interestingly, a previous owner apparently removed the heel piping in order to add/remove padding and then laced the heel to close it). Silver button with raised 5 stars and wreath shows little tarnish. No previous owner’s markings anywhere. Nice little late 40's/early 50's 3 finger glove displays well, feels good to wear, and is enjoyable to use. Has been cleaned and conditioned.
