Warren Spahn Commemorative Rawlings WS 300
(NO LONGER AVAILABLE)
Vintage Baseball Glove/Mitt: (1960's) USA made Rawlings WS300 (commemorative of HOFer Warren Spahn’s 300 wins) measures 8½"x 9" (an 11" pattern) and is endorsed by Spahn, 1942 - '65 (facsimile signature in pocket). His endorsement is listed as of above average value in the Bushing/Phillips Glove Price Guide (even moreso on the commemorative WS300 model). The photos pretty much describe the glove’s condition and features. As for what you can’t see or might not notice: Designed for a lefty, this is the correct hand for a Spahn glove. Well-padded leather feels firm yet flexible. No holes, rips, or tears inside or out; overall chaffing, checking, and scuffing (more prevalent on tips of fingers and thumb). Leather lining chaffed in heel area yet feels smooth and comfortable. All lacing original. Rolled leather piping shows wear but is all there. Seams in good condition. Easy-to-read stampings. No previous owner’s markings anywhere. Nice commemorative display. Has been cleaned and conditioned.
